2025 Minecraft adds new mob Happy Ghast

In 2025, Minecraft introduces a new mob, “Happy Ghasts,” known for spitting fireballs and blazing paths of destruction in the Nether, but this new variant just wants to be your friend. Happy Ghasts come in various forms, and their evolution is determined by the player.
The most interesting aspect of Happy Ghasts is that they allow players to fly across the world. If you’ve been playing Minecraft long enough and visited the End, this may not sound very valuable as you’ve likely flown around with Elytra. However, for new players, obtaining a Happy Ghast starts in the Nether—a place you visit long before entering the End. This allows players to gain flying abilities earlier in the game. An added benefit is that up to four people can ride on one Happy Ghast, making team adventures much easier.
The most useful feature of Happy Ghasts is allowing you to build things in the sky more easily. Once you reach the sky point where you want to build, simply unstrap from the harness, and you can stand atop the ghast to start building. Imagine that the top of the ghast is essentially a scaffold you can stand on, keeping you at high altitude for construction.
For some players, another excellent use is the ability to utilize Happy Ghasts in any parkour courses. Not only can they be tethered to prevent them from wandering off, but they can also be mounted on minecarts, turning them into mobile platforms you can configure to act as large stepping stones.
These are just some of the uses we discovered during our limited preview time. In your kingdom, there are bound to be several other ways you can put Happy Ghasts to work.
